Take smoking for example; Today people know that smoking is bad for their health, and that it causes lung cancer but they continue to smoke none the less. So despite the insight and knowledge they do not change and the interesting question is then when does change happen?
Myths about change
When it comes to change people often talk about change as something negative. We talk about the change curve people are undertaking in the change process where stages include "shock" , "denial" and after the "valley of despair", eventually people come out somewhat accepting. We describe change as something unnatural and the common wisdom is; People don't like change!
